Beach Road

Beach Road was a complete renovation of a much-loved heritage home — a project grounded in respect for the original character while thoughtfully reshaping it for modern family life.

From the ground up, the home was transformed. The property was restumped and fully rewired, with new flooring laid throughout and updated hardware that quietly elevates every room. Three new bathrooms and a completely reimagined kitchen now anchor the interior — designed to feel timeless, functional and deeply connected to the way this family lives.

We reworked the floor plan to create flow and practicality where it was previously missing. A walk-in robe and dedicated study were integrated seamlessly into the existing footprint, alongside a generous walk-in pantry that supports the rhythm of everyday family life.

Connection to the outdoors was a key priority. Steel doors now open to a beautifully constructed deck — a calm, elevated space overlooking the established garden. It’s a natural extension of the home and an invitation to slow down, entertain and gather.

New heating and cooling systems ensure comfort year-round, while careful consideration was given to the balance between old and new. Every decision was made in collaboration with our clients and their family, ensuring the home reflects both heritage character and contemporary ease.

Colour palettes and furniture selections were curated by the studio, thoughtfully layering in new pieces alongside treasured items the family already owned. The result is a home that feels cohesive, warm and personal — modernised without losing its soul.

Beach Road is a testament to what can happen when heritage architecture is honoured, and family life is placed at the centre of design.
