Rothwell Homestead
The restoration of Rothwell, a bluestone Italiante homestead built in 1873, ensured the property was not only returned to its original state, but reinvigorated and ready for the demands of a young family to grow in. Work included restoring the historically significant entrance ceiling fresco, the beautiful Withdrawing Room and fireplaces in collaboration with a specialist heritage conservator. The brief involved working within Heritage Victoria’s strict guidelines to ensure the property was restored to its former glory, whilst subtly bringing a sense of contemporary liveability to the space.
